I was surfing around the intertubes when I found this website called LaurelPapworth.com, The Business of Being Social - Online Community News. The article I read is called “Twitter Lists I am on” and it suggests that the twitter lists you are included in say things about you to other twitter users. I did not find this concept nearly as interesting as one short passage in her introduction:
“After all, we are told time and again that online, give people half a chance and they will be negative, right? Negative reviews, negative comments, negative ratings, negative words, negative all the way.”
I was thrown off by this! What a generalization! Better yet, the article doesn’t seem to me to support this statement, but she never addresses the idea again. So I want to ask you, was this what you were taught about the internet? Is this what you believe?
